more details » Dia de los Muertos Festival Friday, October 28th, 4 pm to midnight: The annual Dia de los Muertos Festival is held in downtown Corpus Christi on two blocks of Starr Street. Now in its 4th year, this family friendly event features live music (bands: Pinata Protest, MasterBlaster Soundsystem and more), an hecho a mano Arts & Crafts Expo, Mariachi bands, performances by Mariachi Del Mar & Folklorico Dancers, Lucha Libre matches, Kid's Activity area, costume contest, an iron pouring demonstration by the TAMUCC Hold Steady Crew, and a community altar. Admission to the festival is free.
